Kale Super Smoothie

  • ½ bunch kale, stems removed and reserved for another use, leaves washed and torn
  • 1 cup applesauce, unsweetened
  • 2 bananas, peeled and frozen
  • 1 small cucumber, chopped (not peeled)
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup ice
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine kale leaves, apples, bananas and lemon juice in a strong blender.
  2. Blend until smooth; thin with water to reach desired consistency.
