Fruit Smoothie

serves 4

2 large, ripe bananas

1 cup plain yogurt  (Greek yogurt if possible for a thicker, creamier texture)

1/4 cup 100% apple juice (or any 100% juice you want: orange, pineapple, blueberry, raspberry, fruit punch, etc. )

2 cups ripe strawberries or any other fruit you like:  blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, peach, pear, apple, mangos, papaya (fresh or frozen)

2 or 3 handfuls of ice cubes (if using fresh fruit)

  1. Combine all ingredients in a strong blender.
  2. Blend until smooth; thin with water to reach desired consistency.

Adjust smoothies to your taste, so, if it’s too thick, next time, add a little more juice or a little less yogurt.  If too icy, next time, add less ice or more juice.  If your smoothie isn’t sweet enough, add a little more sweetener or fruit that is ripe and in season.  Or if it is too sweet for you, just use juice without any sweetener, less sweetener, or replace juice with water.
