Learning Gardens
Gardens are a great way to teach an appreciation for the Earth and where our food comes from. The connections children make between growing, harvesting and eating vegetables can have a life-long impact on their health. Healthy Waltham supports these connections in many ways. We offer garden to table programming that makes connections between locally grown produce and healthy, delicious foods. We offer support for community and school gardens, summer programming at McDevitt Middle School, and summer gardening clubs at Waltham Housing Authority locations. Click on the links below for more information about these gardens.
