Eat Your Veggies – with a Napkin

Our inaugural column in the Waltham News Tribune appeared November 2010 with this article by our Chef Instructor, Leslie Glynn.  “Kids, eat your veggies – with a napkin” talks about the importance of trying new foods.  Sometimes it takes many tries for kids to like a new vegetable.  And it is OK if they don’t like it at first.  Leslie, a veteran mom as well as chef, uses the technique of the tasting napkin to give kids an “out” in case they don’t like a new food.  She has found it makes them more likely to take a taste.  Try this technique with your picky eater!
